Avatar 5
This is the last one I will show from the 10 as I just wanted to show a selection of the images. This is Vamana (the drawf priest). The book was a concertina with a separate booklet at the front containing the text. I created a wraparound cover that could be removed so that the book could be viewed in a conventional way or as a timeline.
Avatars 3 and 4
The 10 Avatars Of Vishnu Contertina Book
To accompany my silkscreen prints I designed a book that contained the 10 different forms of Lord Vishnu. Vishnu is the maintainer/ preserver of the universe. All 10 avatars represent the past and future forms in which he has come to restore the balance of good and evil. These are the first two avatars known as Matysa (the fish) and Kurma (the turtle). Unlike the silkscreen prints I wanted to keep these more traditional and hence used more earthy tones as most of the avatars are shown in stone.

Wooden Pieces
For one of my final projects, I decided to try a way of applying my style to new media. I chose Watership Down by Richard Adams as my text to base my images on, so it just seemed natural to use wood. The disk shows the story of El-ahrairah, the prince of rabbits and the enemies he faces created by Lord Firth. The pieces are all made of oak and have been made completely by hand.
Sorry for the poor quality photos.

Silkscreen Prints
After many attempts of trying to take decent pictures of my silk screen prints, I officially give up. I believe the photoshop files do more justice to the pieces. The colours are more or less the same, you just don't get the same quality as the actual prints themselves. Its just one of those things that look better when seen with your own eyes than as a photograph.
This first one is of the Hindu monkey god Hanuman.

Degree Show
This is my final degree show. The framed prints and the book on the shelf are part of a journey project, the wooden pieces at the bottom are part of my showcase project, where I picked Watership down as my text that I based my imagery on, and the model on the plinth is my self promotion project. I'm sorry for the poor quality photograph. I'll be posting some better images soon.
